My doors on David's Sienna body E-mail
December 2, 2006

As you might recall, David picked up all panels of my Sienna as he needs them to make moulds for his new Countach replica project. The doors will be modified to match the new roofline of the Sienna. Also the rear wing was taken. Look at the difference with a genuine wing! Needs some correction as well!

More on this subject soon.

The gearbox II E-mail
December 2, 2006

Picked up the gearbox last Thursday. It has been cleaned as good as possible. Although the box itself doesn't look very good, even after cleaning, it is greasless and ready for a good etch-primer. After which we will coat it with a good top-layer.

Work on this will be done on Monday.

A good weekend! E-mail
November 26, 2006,

Finally a weekend that goes down in history as the weekend that everything worked out as planned :' )
On Saturday we brought the gearbox to CARREC in Amersfoor to be cleaned. This will be done on Monday agains no charge! Expect some free advertisements on this site for CARREC! :-D.

On Sunday, David arrived with his son Barney. He was a bit earlier then expected but fortunally he didn't have to wait a long time for us to arrive. We proceeded to the garage were David picked up the doors, wing and front & rear bootlids. Expect some progress on his side soon! As I'm typing away, David is still on his way home to the UK. It was a pleasant meet and hope to see him soon again!

Tomorrow I'll be working to finish the main break cylinder and vacuum chamber. Pictures to follow.

Master break cylinder...and more. E-mail
Tuesday November 21, 2006

Revised the master break cylinder. Although new, the cylinder was damaged because our Countach kit was stored outside under a blanket for way too long. This caused, and is causing a lot of delay as basically the whole car needs to be revied. But, we're getting there.

Coming weekend, November 25/26, a lot of things are going to happen. On Saturday the gearbox will be steamcleaned so we can give it a new etch primer coating and a good layer of paint. On Sunday, David from Action vehicle services will visit us to collect the doors and all other panels from our car, to make moulds of them for his Countach project. He has the same Sienna body as we have with one major difference, the roofline has been corrected. Our doors will be modified to fit the new roofline. Once our body is fixed to the chassis, the roofline will be corrected as well by David.

That's it for now...
